In 2013, 16,910 people in Rockingham County answered yes. 18.1% of Rockingham County’s population is food insecure – or in everyday terms, they are not always sure where their next meal will come from.
That’s where the ministry of LOT 2540 steps in. With a mission based on Matthew 25:40, we are serving the Least of These. On a daily basis, the staff and volunteers of LOT reach out to the poor and struggling in our community, not with a hand-out, but with a hand-up. With food boxes, hot meals, job training and more, LOT 2540 is making a real difference.
You can make a difference as well. Share your blessings with those in need by joining with LOT. You can volunteer your time. Donate food and other needed items. Invest your money in a way that helps others. Just $25 a month will provide a family of four with a box of healthy, nutritious food that will feed them for a week.
